Bunte Kuh in Helgoland

I wanted to reserve by email, after 3 days still no answer. Chose another restaurant for the evening. But I looked at the menu, I would say "old German cuisine" There should be a breath of fresh air in the kitchen and emails should be answered promptly. Can only get better.

After a walk across the island, we stopped here spontaneously on our way back to the port. Fish, beef fillet steak (medium ... really great) and pasta ... everything was really very good. Thanks to the attentive service staff, the drinks were always available quickly. We found the prices absolutely reasonable. The view of the harbor is nice. We'll definitely come back the next time we visit.

Great shop, went there almost every day. We ate and drank. Food was delicious, prices are ok. I will definitely stop by again the next time I visit Heligoland.

Very warm atmosphere. Friendly staff and not pushy. The food was good. So the meat as desired in medium and also the request instead of beans I got the fried onion. Don't be put off by the 4 stars, only the fried potatoes were a bit salty and as you can see on the picture a bit greasy. But I think the greasier one is normal because of the fried potatoes and the onions and the mushrooms .... The one with the salt can also be a matter of taste as everyone is different so for me 4 stars can be 5 stars for the next 😄. Otherwise highly recommended.

Very nicely located with beach chairs outside. We only had drinks there. Everything great.

Slight deductions in the A and B grades, because the food was cold and the service was snappy. The herb butter didn't want to melt and the potatoes, like the steak, had been out of the pan for a long time :(

Was on Heligoland for several days. I was 3 times at the colorful cow. Food was always great. The service was always very friendly, even with high occupancy and sometimes impatient day visitors (faster! My ship is about to leave!). Price / performance ratio is very good. Of course there are restrictions due to Corona (e.g. available spaces). I was a single traveler and of course you don't occupy a table of four alone. It was positive that I had nice table partners every evening and that there were always good conversations. The colorful cow is also very popular with sailors from the port. That also shapes the pleasant atmosphere there. In summary: it's worth it! Many thanks also in this way to the patient and very nice waiter. He did his stressful work with Corona mask very well

Day trip to Heligoland and no space without a reservation although there was a lot free, you can overlook it although I think that you should be a bit more flexible with excursion destinations like this island, especially at lunchtime according to the motto: "First come, first served" As I said, you can overlook it, but not over an unfriendly answer from the waitress when asked whether there are still free places.

Good food, Great location. Sit there, relax and enjoy the water view. This place is very busy during the day so you may have to wait a little to get a table. We were group of 6 people and all of us liked the food. we ordered all fish specialities. Staffs are very nice and friendly.

Location great - food too average (fried potatoes don't deserve the name) for the price - staff is once positive and in the second person also twice noticed through unbelievable unfriendliness. And there is no recommendation for that, nor will there be a cent more in the future. Six guests with loose wallets were disappointed in one go. Hospitality is very different - and you don't even have to walk much further!

If you want to eat something here, you should bring your time and be there in good time before the ferry departs. Waiting times of up to an hour. The staff, however, kindly points this out. The cheesecake, which we then chose as an alternative, tasted very good.

Very unpleasant, I would have liked to have had a good plate of spaghetti, unfortunately it was not possible inside and "not possible outside due to the weather." But it didn't start to rain until 2 hours after we were there. The staff should be a bit friendlier. And better check out the weather. Pity ! A little friendlier and then the sun shines longer. Tip a bratwurst 🌭 or hot dog if you are hungry for a quick one! and the shop is running. It's so easy

Very bad for families. Wanted to eat well there and have a drink at lunchtime. In compliance with the distance rules, we placed a chair next to the table so that we could not sit in the sun with our baby at over 40 degrees. The waiter literally barked at us that something like that wouldn't work and that we should kindly use the sun table. When we asked if there was no other way, otherwise we would have to go, this person seriously said that this would be the best solution. Strange but true. Unfortunately.

Real gem in Heligoland, which is sometimes very touristy. The waiter scrapes the terrace almost single-handedly. Always have a brisk saying and a smile ready. Food and drink - very good and promptly at the table. If we had known, we would have stayed the night!

Very fast and attentive service. Despite being completely full in the afternoon, we were served courteously, quickly and professionally. I can recommend without reservation!

Super load right on the harbor with a great view. It is also possible to sit outside. The prices are OK for the island, The service also fits. It is advisable to reserve a table as it is often very crowded.

Escaped from a heavy rain shower here. Solid restaurant with a rustic menu and friendly staff. Value for money. Family full and happy. 😃

Great food, great people, great place to sit and relax .. minor topic is that they do not accept credit cards and just special bankcards though it is written on the door that they accept cards for receipts higher than 10euro.. fortunately the island is so small - after leaving a deposit ( hubby, luggage.. ) you can go for cash withdraw at the next ATM

The food is very good, the prices are ok and the staff is very friendly :) However, it is not so easy to get a table for several people. We were a group of 8 people. Since 4 children were under, it went, but 4 adults do not fit at a table. People are standing by the roadside, waiting for someone to get up somewhere. 😄 So, if you have some patience and time, you will be rewarded with great food here. The toilets are also clean and a changing table is available in the ladies room 😉

This was my 7th visit in 7 years and its the best place to have drink. The place is full of fun. Should visit... Must drink the Irish Coffee And the Pina Colada.
